National Forest Donation

The winter of 2018/19 was incredibly intense for our national forests within the Willamette Valley (Willamette National Forest and Umpqua National Forest). Intense snow caused trail closures at a time when trail maintenance staff (volunteers) are working on reopening trails damaged from past weather events. The WNF now has one trail steward agency contracted to maintain all of their trail systems, High Cascades. The donation was granted to this trail steward group as it will allow for more flexible use of funds to get the money to work quicker as the National Forest cannot receive donations.
